The Osteopathic Profession is regulated by statue under the Osteopaths Act 1993. Osteopaths undertake an intensive 4 to 5 years Degree Course.
Since May 2000, following the 1993 Osteopaths Act, anyone calling them self an Osteopath must be registered with the General Osteopathic Council in order to practice. All Osteopaths attend a variety of short courses to continue their Professional Development in their area of interest.
